Our Team

Dr. Edward Ford was born in California, but raised in Twin Falls when his family moved back to his father’s hometown in 1974. He attended Twin Falls High School and was part of the graduating class of 1989. His higher education consists of an Associates Degree from the College of Southern Idaho, a Bachelors Degree from Idaho State University and finally a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating Optometry School in 2000, he and his wife, Dr. Tonya Ford moved to Atlanta, Georgia where they practiced for 11 years. In 2011 they moved to Twin Falls and opened Ford Family Eye Care.
While in Georgia, they welcomed 3 boys, Hudson (Currently attending Boise State University), Jack (Currently attending Idaho State University) and Ben (Currently attending the University of Idaho).

Dr. Ford is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians Association.

Dr. Tonya Ford was born in Massachusetts, but raised in Windham, New Hampshire where she graduated high school from the Pinkerton Academy in 1988. Her higher education consists of a Bachelors Degree from the University of Georgia, a Masters Degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation from Boston University and finally a Doctor of Optometry Degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating Optometry School in 2000, she and her husband, Dr. Edward Ford moved to Atlanta, Georgia where they practiced for 11 years. In 2011 they moved to Twin Falls and opened Ford Family Eye Care. While in Georgia, they welcomed 3 boys, Hudson (Currently attending Boise State University), Jack (Currently attending Idaho State University) and Ben (Currently attending the University of Idaho).

Dr. Maria “Christy” Marez was born in Mexico, but raised in Hagerman, Idaho where she graduated from Hagerman High School in 2015. Her higher education consists of an Associates Degree from the College of Southern Idaho, a Bachelors Degree from Idaho State University and finally a Doctor of Optometry Degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduating from Optometry School in 2023, she moved back home to be closer to family. She’s a welcome addition to the Ford Family Eye Care team and excited to be starting her career as an optometrist.

Dr. Marez is a member off both the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians Association.
